The Old Fossils invite their ladies to to join them for lunch.
The club members decided to invite their wives, and the widows of past members to join them for lunch at their May and October meetings, as a small mark of respect, and thank you, for all that they do for the club during the course of the year.
At this years May meeting, two other friends of the Old Fossils were also invited to join them. The two ladies concerned ran a Bran Tub at last years Late Night Shopping, and raised a magnificant £200 on behalf of the club. Their efforts, and the support of the Fossils wives made that particular evening a complete financial success.
Without the support of the wives, and the friends of the Old Fossils club, its members would have a hard time doing what they do, and it is the members way of saying a very big thank you to the ladies for all that they do on behalf of the club.
Much to the delight of the members, the local press reported this event, and this again has given much credence to the "Old Fossils" Gentlemens Club of Sutton on Sea.
